Privacy Policy

At FeedSortr, we build high-performance products designed with user security and trust at their center. This Privacy Policy explains our commitment to protecting your digital footprint and data while you use the FeedSortr Chrome extension ("Extension") and our website ("Service").

1. Core Privacy Principles

We believe that your personal data is yours alone. Our engineering design follows strict privacy preservation principles:

  • No Social Media Logins Required: The Extension operates completely locally inside your browser active view session. It never asks for, captures, or transmits your Instagram or TikTok login credentials.
  • Local Data Processing: Any parsing, calculations, or sorting of content feeds happen locally on your computer. Your social content data is never sent to our servers.
  • No External Server Transfers: We do not run external analytics databases that record the specific accounts, hashtags, or users you choose to sort.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Unlike standard social tools, FeedSortr does not harvest, store, or sell your personal information. Specifically, we do NOT collect:

  • Your social media accounts or profile logs.
  • The target accounts, usernames, or hashtags you query and parse.
  • The results of your sorted feeds (including likes, views, comments, or post URLs).
  • Any content from your private browser search sessions.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

To support product health, extension version updates, and billing management, we collect limited technical details:

  • Extension Preferences: When you configure settings (e.g., maximum posts to fetch, default sort rules), these preferences are saved locally inside your Chrome Extension chrome.storage.local state.
  • Billing Information: If you purchase a premium plan, transaction and billing handling are processed entirely through secure partners (Stripe/Chrome Web Store). We only store license keys and billing status.
  • Website Usage Data: Standard server logs are gathered when you visit our website to evaluate performance. This includes anonymized IP addresses and basic browser types.

4. Compliance & Permissions

To parse posts inside your browser, the Extension requests permissions to access active Instagram and TikTok domains. These permissions are strictly used to read DOM elements (likes count, comments, views, and post links) to feed our local sorting table. No scripts are injected on other websites.

5. Cookies Policy

We use essential cookies on our website to persist your user session (for accessing Pro licensing status) and for anonymous analytical insights via standard performance metrics. You can disable cookies inside your browser settings at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

Our website and licensing verification may contain links to external payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Chrome Web Store). We encourage you to read their specific privacy guidelines before completing transactions.

7. Security Practices

We utilize standard industry practices, including Secure Socket Layer (SSL/HTTPS) encryption, to safeguard all data exchanges. However, since the extension processes data locally, the safety of your output spreadsheet reports relies on securing your own hardware devices.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect extensions in web standard security rules or features. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
